Megan & Brody's Intimate Forest Wedding in Maple Ridge

Megan and Brody's wedding was a reminder that the best days don't have to be big to be meaningful.

They gathered with their closest friends and family in the forest near Golden Ears, surrounded by towering trees and the quiet beauty that makes Maple Ridge such a special place to get married. It was relaxed, emotional, and completely focused on what mattered mostβ€”celebrating the start of their marriage.

Choosing a weekday wedding meant we had the trails almost entirely to ourselves. There was no rushing between people or waiting for crowds to pass. Just time to enjoy the day as it unfolded.

After the ceremony, we wandered through the Spirea Nature Trailfor portraits. It's one of my favourite locations in Maple Ridge, especially for couples who love being outdoors. The forest is beautiful in every season, and you never have to try too hard to find a great backdrop.

As a BC elopement photographer, these are the kinds of weddings I love photographing. The quiet moments, the happy tears, the laughter with family, and the little in-between moments that often become the memories couples hold onto most.

If you're planning an intimate wedding or elopement inBritish Columbia, Maple Ridge has so much to offer. Between the forests, mountain views, and easy access to Golden Ears, it's one of my favourite places to photograph couples who want a wedding day that feels simple, intentional, and true to them.
