The modern definition of an elopement
The Modern Meaning of an Elopement:
Elopement, to me, isn’t about running away anymore—it’s about choosing intention over expectation.
When I photograph elopements, I’m documenting something deeply personal: a day that’s been stripped back to what actually matters. No pressure, no big production—just the two of you (and maybe a handful of your favorite people) committing to each other in a way that feels true.
Modern elopements are intimate, meaningful, and completely your own. Whether that looks like exchanging vows on a mountain at sunrise, by the ocean, or in a quiet corner of the city, it’s about creating space to be present with each other. To slow down. To feel it all.
My role isn’t just to take photos—it’s to help you protect that space. To capture the quiet moments, the in-between glances, the way the day actually felt.
Because at the end of it all, an elopement isn’t about escaping. It’s about choosing a wedding day that reflects who you are.
